TODAY is Etsy817 Day: Craft Show at the Downtown Arlington Farmers Market

Standard

I have been slacking on the blog… Please forgive me. I am trying to prepare for my first show with Etsy817. If you haven’t heard me mention it before you haven’t been listening. I am excited to be a part of this event. We should have 25 artists plus some of the Farmer’s Markets regular vendors. This means that not only can you buy tons of great handmade items but you can also purchase some delicious baked goods and produce.

The event will be bike friendly, dog friendly, kid friendly, elderly friendly, hipster-dufus friendly… You get the picture. We want EVERYONE to come out and have a good time. There will even be a musical performance or two. Tell your friends. You will find the market on 215 E. Front Street, Arlington, Texas.

Here is a sneak peek of what you may see on Saturday:

This is by NO means everyone that will be there. Stay tuned for more vendors to be listed within the next day or so.

Hope to see ya Saturday!

Cowtown Indie Bazaar Recap

Standard

No secret… I LOVE attending craft shows. Meeting the artists, seeing what they have to offer, chatting with other shoppers… I love it all. The Cowtown Indie Bazaar was no exception. What a fun place to be on a Saturday morning. I took my kiddos to this one. Clyde had been dying for a tooth pillow from REGAL COTTAGE for over a year now. He was so excited and it was one of the first booths we saw. There were about 10 artists there that I had seen at the Spring Fling the week before but a ton of different ones as well.

I remembered some of the vendors from the last Cowtown I attended. I am always impressed that they have created such a brand for themselves that they stick with me from time to time.  Even though I had the kids I was still able to walk the aisles for a couple of hours. The kids were impressed with the music and the make and take which was sponsored by Flowerbedhead. They also enjoyed the free photo booth that was sponsored by Captures by Erin I liked that it was a bit more interactive. I’m not 100% sure how I felt about the flow. I kept feeling like I was missing some booths. I guess I’m just disorganized enough that I LIKE being made to go in straight rows without the option of turning half way through. That’s just me though…

Monday is Etsy817 Day: The Cowtown Indie Bazaar

Standard

Sorry I wasn’t more of a busy blogger last week. Son and hubby both had Spring Break. It was a little more chaotic than usual.

I was super excited to be able to go to yet another fabulous Craft Show featuring Texas artists. The Cowtown Indie Bazaar was held at the Will Rogers Memorial Center on Saturday, March 19. Yet again Etsy817 was represented. Here are those members. Click on their picture to get to their shop. You shall not be disappointed!

Soap Addict

I do have to mention that they were ALSO at Funky Finds and I didn’t get a photo. The same is true for my next artist

Longoria Girls

Weeds & Wildflowers

FlowerBedHead

Neke Designs

As you can see we were, yet again, well represented. I’m always impressed with the talent we have. I will have a longer write up about this show sometime this week. For now please visit the above artists and remember to buy handmade.

What large Craft/Art shows have you attended and what did you like or dislike about them?
